Incoming Internships/Research - Non-ERAU Students


We are very excited that you are interested in an internship at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). We take pride in our cutting edge and innovative research, and we hope it shows! 
Please be sure you read the steps to finding research opportunities at ERAU. You will need to contact those doing the research directly; links and information to research at ERAU are below the steps you need to follow. First, read steps 1-4 directly below and then check out the links provided under the steps. 
PLEASE NOTE: Most internship opportunities are unpaid; you will need to check with the sponsoring professor/department to see if any remuneration will be provided. 
  1. Please review the links provided for possible internship opportunities at ERAU.
  2. Once you have selected one or more potentials for internships, please reach out to the professor contact. You will need to work directly with the professor overseeing the research in order to be accepted.
  3.  Once the professor has accepted you via e-mail, you will need to do two things:
    1. Send an e-mail to copying the accepting professor letting International Student Services (ISS) know you have  been accepted. ISSS will then send you a link to begin your application.
    2. Make the $300 Application and Administration Payment here.

College of Arts and Sciences - Some of our research under this college include, but are not limited to, Bayesian Analysis of Stellar Evolution, Exploring Vulnerabilities, Threats, and Exploits in Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS), and High Spectral Resolution Observations of Lunar Exospheric Emissions. 

College of Aviation - Important research here in support of the aviation industry includes, but is not limited to, Airline Pilot Shortage, Daily Weathercasts, and Forensic Synoptic Analysis.

MicaPlex: The MicaPlex is part of our Research Park and hosts both outside business and university assets. Find out what innovations are taking place in this incubator by visiting their link.

NextGen - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) have an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) that designates Embry-Riddle as the operator of the Florida Test Bed. ERAU supports the Test Bed by operating the facility and by working with industry in support of FAA-assigned NextGen tasks.Check out their research work and projects here
