For internships/research opportunities, carefully read the steps on how to find one at ERAU. You will need to contact those doing the research directly. Links and information to research at ERAU are listed after the steps you need to follow. Please note, most internship opportunities are unpaid, and you will need to check with the sponsoring professor/department to see if any remuneration will be provided.
How to Find Internships/Research Opportunities
- Review the provided links for possible opportunities at ERAU.
- Once you have selected one or more potential opportunities, contact the Lead Professor. In order to be accepted, you will need to work directly with the professor overseeing the research.
- After the professor has accepted you via e-mail, you will need to complete the following two tasks:
- Send an e-mail to dbiss@erau.edu, copying the accepting professor, letting International Student Services (ISS) know you have been accepted. ISS will send you a link to begin your application.
- Submit the $300 Application and Administrative Payment.

NextGen
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) have an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) that designates Embry-Riddle as the operator of the Florida Test Bed. ERAU supports the Test Bed by operating the facility and working with the industry in support of FAA assigned NextGen tasks.
